THE BIBLE IS NOT A BOOK FOR MORAL INSTRUCTIONS

1 Peter 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Stop turning the bible into rules of morality for non believers.
This very wrong view gives the message of being able to moralize one's way into heaven, when we know our righteousness is as filthy rags.

Isaiah 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

This what we always say to the non-Christian, their seemingly good values and morals cannot get them into heaven, because their good (even when they receive their subjective values from the Bible) is not good enough.
Also, most religions and even cults may share the same set of morals and values. Morals and values is not unique to the bible (as a book of faith) alone.
We need to realize the bible for what it REALLY is: God's continued revelation of Himself and interactions with a people and of a promised messiah, Christ's birth, obedience, crucifixion, death and resurrection, and  God's instructions, directions and promises for living holy and  righteous lives pleasing to Him, once you have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.

His word cannot be understood before salvation and the infilling of His Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
From beginning to end, from the Old through the New, from the book of Genesis, through the book of Revelation, the Bible is God's dealings, corrections warnings, promises and judgment on His people. But God promises to bless and He promises to destroy. Everyone wants to claim the blessings and turn blind eyes to the conditions.

Exodus 19:5  Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be mine own possession from among all peoples: for all the earth is mine:
2 Chronicles 7:14-15  if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  (15)  Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent, unto the prayer that is made in this place.

Time and time again throughout all of the Old Testament, we see the nations of Israel and Judah collectively return to the sin of idolatry, burning incense, offerings, prayers, and even sacrifices of their own children to pagan/false gods! And still do! If you know anything about the Jewish book of mysticism, the Kabbalah, you know this to be true (I am not talking about the child sacrifices, since I have not seen any real proof of that).
Time and again, throughout all of history, GOD'S JUDGMENT WAS AND STILL IS TO HIS PEOPLE.

Isaiah 1:10-15  Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.  (11)  What unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats.  (12)  When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to trample my courts?  (13)  Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies, - I cannot away with iniquity and the solemn meeting.  (14)  Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are a trouble unto me; I am weary of bearing them.  (15)  And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
-Take notice that God doesn't judge His people because they didn't offer sacrifices or keep His holy days. It was and is always because their hearts and minds are not with Him. Any of the laws that weren't kept, was always due to their falling away from Him and returning to their sin of idolatry.

Numbers 14:22-23  because all those men that have seen my glory, and my signs, which I wrought in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tempted me these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;  (23)  surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that despised me see it:

Numbers 14:30  surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Joshua 23:15-16  Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.  (16)  When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.

Jeremiah 6:15-19  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? no, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith Jehovah.  (16)  Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.  (17)  And I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken.  (18)  Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.  (19)  Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.
Jeremiah 5:7-12  How can I pardon thee? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery, and assembled themselves in troops at the harlots' houses.  (8)  They were as fed horses roaming at large; every one neighed after his neighbor's wife.  (9)  Shall I not visit for these things? saith Jehovah; and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?  (10)  Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her branches; for they are not Jehovah's.  (11)  For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith Jehovah.  (12)  They have denied Jehovah, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:
-God promised to let them into the land He had promised them they would possess, but He also promised to keep them from it because of lifestyles of continued disobedience.
How is it that my people can see those who are perpetually and willfully disobedient as tolerable in my sight? How is it that while your hearts are yet far from me, you believe you can dwell with me? You don't want any of my presence now, but somehow you can have all of my presence later? Those who call on the name of the Lord have allowed themselves to be blinded to My word. You have allowed the devil to place in your minds and hearts that there is no hell for those who say "Lord, Lord"! You have allowed Satan to blind you into believing that the Nation of Israel, no matter her perpetual disobedience and sin, are bound for the real promised land of eternity. Isn't it to justify your continued lifestyle in sin? You say in your hearts "If Israel as a nation still experiences salvation in spite of their sin, then surely the grace of God won't allow me to lose my salvation, either." You have made "Israel" and "grace" synonymous with "righteousness of God". You have turned the truth of God into a lie.

2 Peter 2:20-22  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge [full discernment, understanding fully] of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  (21)  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.  (22)  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
[that which defiled was out, and the person cleansed]

1 Corinthians 10:11-12  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  (12)  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Hebrews 2:1-3  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.  (2)  For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;  (3)  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Hebrews 3:11-12  As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.  (12)  Take heed, brethren, lest haply there shall be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God:

As long as you continue in your pagan worship of national Israel, you are not in true worship of the God of Israel. This sin and the sins that springboard from it, will keep you from true fellowship with the Heavenly Father, strengthen Satan's hold on you and will make standing, abiding and enduring in the faith of Christ in the last days extremely difficult and less likely.
