Revelation 18:
The spiritual Harlot and spiritual Babylon

Revelation 18:2-3  And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.  3  ……..and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Revelation 18:15  The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
Isaiah 47:15  Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
Daniel 11:45  And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Revelation 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Isaiah 47:1  Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
Isaiah 47:5-8  Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.  6  I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.  7  And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.  8  Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

+Those who call themselves Jews always proclaim themselves as perpetually pure by birthright, hence “virgin”. We know this is not what God considers them, because Babylon is always symbolic of paganism, as Sodom and Gomorrah is symbolic of every kind of debauchery known to man and Egypt is symbolic of the lifestyle of sin that God calls us out of. It is for this reason, the land of Israel is not spiritual Babylon and I believe America is. Only America fits scripturally with how God describes Babylon in Rev. 18, and God calls Israel spiritual Sodom and Egypt:
Revelation 11:8  And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. The words “there is no throne”, and “lady of Kingdoms”, means God is talking about a Queen.
Those who call themselves Jews loudly proclaim Israel will always be their inheritance and theirs alone (they believe gentiles will serve them). They, as well as many Christians, say the Kingdom of Israel was promised to them and that promise stands for all time. Unrepentant people who refuse to be converted, nor those who love their sinful ways and live sinful lifestyles   more than the ways and life of holiness,  can EVER possibly dwell where the very presence of a forever unchanging Holy and Righteous God and Creator dwells.

Revelation 18: 8  Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Revelation 18:10  Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Isaiah 47:11  Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
Isaiah 47:14  Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame:

Isaiah 47:3-4  Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.  4  As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

Philippians 2:8-11  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

+The words “as for” in Isaiah 47:4 does not appear in the original Hebrew text, which is why you will see some grey, italicized  if you use a KJV.
God says He will not greet them as the Messiah they  still claim to be waiting for, but rather, as judge. He will still be King. He is King of kings and Lord of lords regardless of who accepts Him or not. But Israel is not queen,  nor will they be inhabitants of His Kingdom.

God says neither national Israel nor national America will repent. He has made it clear that His Spirit does not rest in either sin-laden nation. But it’s not for all people to come to repentance and believe in the one true Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, Jesus, The Messiah for All peoples, and abiding in a life dedicated to His righteousness and holiness so that we can endure the very soon and coming tribulation.

In Closing:
As in all things of God and scripture, diligently seek the discernment that only comes from His Holy Spirit.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. - John 14:26

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. - 1 Corinthians 2:11-13
