Revelation 13:7;15-18  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
15  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  16  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Daniel 7:25  And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Daniel 8:24  And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and holy people.

Daniel 11:32-33  And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.  33  And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

Although we don't suffer on a physical level, we, my family and I, as Born-Again believing Christians experience an onslaught of arrows and daggers almost daily. It's not because we seem to be great Spiritual pillars and we try to convert everyone we meet. As a matter of fact, we rarely hold purposeful Christian conversations in public. What I mean is we don't stage Christian dialogue with the purpose of attempting to evangelize those in ear shot. We hold regular conversations, and because Christ, last days topics and things generally associated with salvation and being Christian are normal topics of conversations in our home, I am sure they happen in our travels. It's how we live our lives day in and day out.
Having said that, we are even more so ostracized within Christian circles, and not because we hold aberrant doctrinal/biblical views. They are for basically three reasons: We refuse to be patriotic at the cost of what it means to be Christian, FIRST and foremost. Second, we refuse to be political and take sides. Rather, we hold to true Christian values, where GOD'S truth and the lives and fair treatment of people included in our measure. Thirdly, we do not let those who claim to be in power hold sway over what's biblical. So, in other words, for example, degrees don't impress me nor does it empower someone to preach or teach God's word truthfully. As long as we keep God and Christ first, leaning and depending on the empowerment of His Spirit, we cant be paid off or bought.
In these times we are currently living in, the hatred and animosity that we see and experience toward us because we simply CANNOT support or justify the money, power and prestige loving Trump and the evangelicals that support him, it's VERY easy to see how Saints get physically killed and persecuted in the last days.
