Russia War Against Ukraine

I don't purport to be a student of the ways of war. I'm sure there are politics, economics and so forth that are involved, and life would be difficult for some. However, Russia's war on Ukraine can only end with Russia already being the victor especially with the U.S and NATO not intervening militarily.

This event reminds me of Jeremiah 38:17-18, where he gives a message to the people of God, from God. That message is surrender and live.

Hundred thousand of people dead, dying, displaced, fleeing to underground bunkers and subway tunnels, fleeing to neighboring countries with nowhere else to go once they arrive, homes and buildings being destroyed. What's not destroyed is unwillingly being abandoned. Elderly and children are suffering the most.

President Zalinsky, your beloved people are dying needlessly, hungry, cold and suffering. Parts of your country are being destroyed. Putin is a horrible human being, but his victory seems to be all but guaranteed. Barring intervention from an unknown variable, I say, surrender and live. Not for yourself, but for the life of your people and country. Make no mistake. Putin, like Trump, DOES NOT care how many Ukrainian people (or any other people) die to achieve his agenda.

Spiritual Sickness

 To My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Some of us are sick. Spiritually sick. A sickness that may be unto spiritual death for some.  

2 Peter 2:20-22
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

We have allowed a plague to infest the body. Slow moving in some, over a period of time, and very quick for others. 

We claim to have a spiritually understood book, filled with the Spirit, walking in/by The Spirit. Yet we are filled with hatred, greed, anger, malice, jealousy, racism, prejudice, backbiting, gossiping, adultery, lust, hypocrisy and just and overall meanness! All of the things that are not the fruit of the Spirit, but rather of the flesh.

Ephesians 5:3-5
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Their are physical blessings to serving Yahoshua (Jesus) but the only guarantees are spiritual ones. The disciples did not live rich lives (in spite of what those who love to fleece the flock claim). They got sick, ran for their lives, and all but John were martyred. 

The word says they had everything in common. 

Acts 2:44-45 

And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, as every man had need.

Yahovah is not saying we should sell everything and live communal style. There is a  SPIRITUAL principle here, that is there was a commonality amongst the believers. They strove to fill others needs. The Spirit doesn't bring a mindset/heart filled with "I got mine, if you got faith you can get yours too". 

In other words,  the more stuff you have, the closer you are too God. These are signs of a sick heart and sick mind set. These are signs that those who hold on to this spirit of materialism, is not walking according to the Spirit but the flesh. 

We need to turn our gaze inward and focus on purging our hearts and minds of the ways of the world. We need to strive for our spiritual healing and ensuring our eternal home. 

TRUE JEWS AND ISRAEL OF YAHOVAH

"I think from what I've read in the Bible the Jewish people were chosen by god as his people. But after his son Jesus came to be a sacrifice for our inherited sin, that changed. Now we are ALL given the opportunity to accept or decline the offer of a relationship with Jehovah."

My reply:

"Jew" or " Jewish people '' should be interpreted to mean Yahovah's chosen people. WHO He desires as His people, and WHAT their standard of morals, holiness and faith should and shouldn't be.

However, we have been conditioned to ignore the NEW testament, Holy Spirit written and discerned definition of WHO IS a Jew from our Creator’s perspective. Discernment that was purposefully given to Paul, a Jew.

How is it, that those of us who claim we are UNDER the New Covenant, systematically resort to the old. The Bible tells us that the flesh (old Covenant) cannot understand the things of the Spirit (the New) because they are Spiritually discerned.

(1Cor 2:10-14)

The New Testament/New Covenant, brings SPIRITUALLY discerned understanding OF the Old Testament/Covenant:

1Cor 2:10-14

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

THIS is who YAHOVAH says is His intended people.

This is not so called "Replacement Theology".

This is The Spirit of Yahovah giving us spiritual understanding (to those who will accept it) of WHO His people are. WHAT Israel really is.

A spiritual people and a land created by HIM, for HIS people. A People who are called by HIS name.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place

Romans 9:6-8

6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Romans 9:16

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that shows mercy.

- In other words, it's not Israel because of man's desire. No one can will themselves to be righteous Israel. It's not by man's will (by birth) or because they've been following the religion for a millennia ("him that runneth"). It's by who Yahovah says are His people, NOT genetics, or DNA.

Romans 9:31-33

But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Ms. Goldberg's Holocaust Comment

As African Americans and as Black people WORLDWIDE, race IS about skin color. That is simply OUR experience. 

But, I believe this Rabbi's assesment to be the most fair, reasonable and logical as I have read or heard re Ms. Goldberg's Holocaust comment:

I believe this Op-Ed assesment to have been the most fair, reasonable and logical as I have read or heard. 

"As a Jew and a rabbi, I’m embarrassed about what happened to Whoopi Goldberg" 

He also goes on state in his op-ed: 

"Did Goldberg mean the Holocaust had nothing to do about race? To me, if it seemed that she was putting “racism” in the Holocaust to the side, it was only to make a different, perhaps more thoughtful, point, that, with skin color not playing a role in its anti-Jewish violence, the reality of the Holocaust itself is even more extraordinary, terrifying proof of what people are capable of doing to other people. She could have been more articulate in her wording, but that’s what happens in unscripted television."
